Cameeka Caldwell

Cameeka Caldwell serves as an HR Consultant for JLM HR Consulting. A passionate advocate at heart, Meeka has seamlessly woven her deep commitment to fairness, equity, and positive change into a distinguished career as an HR professional. With a belief in the power of people to transform workplaces, Meeka leverages her expertise in human resources to champion a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and mutual respect. Whether it's through spearheading DEIJ initiatives, advocating for employee rights and well-being, or designing comprehensive talent acquisition strategies, Meeka’s advocacy is evident in every aspect of her work.

She earned her BS in Human Resources Management from the University of Maryland Global College (formerly University College) and holds a Professional Human Resources Certification and a SHRM Certified Professional Designation. She is a self-published author of a series of children’s books sharing about Down Syndrome and a disability advocate serving as a Planning Member with the Prince Georges County Parents of Children with Down Syndrome, and she is a council member with the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council and the Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities at Kennedy Krieger Institute.

Outside of work, Meeka enjoys reading, finding fun recipes to cook, and spending lots of time with her family. She also enjoys continued learning and loves to find opportunities to expand her knowledge in Human Resources, Policy, and Advocacy.
